Who are you?

There are many theories about who we are. Most major religions and other philosophies agree on a few basic concepts in this area, such as

  • you are not your beliefs,
  • you are not your thoughts,
  • you are not your feelings,
  • you are not your body.

Simply put, how could any of these be you, as they change from moment to moment and you remain? Even your body changes constantly, with new cells replacing old ones every second. And, if you were to lose a limb in an accident, would that make you less you? Of course not.
